Though we try not to admit it, as human beings, we have an undeniable curiosity about other people, regardless of whether or not we do or do not know them. This curiosity is exponentially strengthened when we can learn juicy, scandalous, hilarious tidbits about their lives, and even more so when we know the tidbits will not only be entertaining, but will make us feel in some way better about ourselves (and not being them). Such is the premise for the enormous and fairly recent popularity of websites such as fmylife.com (a website about moments people experience that make them hate life) and textsfromlastnight.com (a website dedicated to the crazy, embarassing, and/or nonsensical texts people receive, oftentimes influenced by some sort of substance).
