Research In Motion (RIM), maker of BlackBerry handhelds and software, has kicked off the week with the introduction of a new consumer security application. The security app, called BlackBerry Protect helps users to keep their handheld data backed up and secure while also providing assistance with securing a BlackBerry handheld if its lost or stolen.
