Samsung is known for touting the shipment figures for its flagship products, and according to a new report, the company may soon have to pull out its party hats once again. According to Korean publications iNews24 and Yonhap News Agency, Samsung’s Galaxy S 4 has crossed the 20 million units shipped mark. The device has been on store shelves for two months now, meaning that it managed to hit the 20 million milestone faster than the Galaxy S III, which took 100 days to reach the same figure. It’s also said that Samsung has moved around 500,000 Galaxy S 4s in South Korea. Samsung’s Galaxy S line has become one of the biggest parts of the mobile industry in recent years, and so far the Galaxy S 4 appears to be on track to be the most widely-adopted model yet. While the numbers that Samsung reports are units shipped and not sold, 20 million shipments is still an impressive stat that shows that demand for the S 4 from Samsung’s partners is still there, two months out from the phone’s launch. It’s not clear when Samsung will release an official statement on its latest milestone, but you can bet that I’ll update you when one is released.
