The reader provides the same advantages as other memory card readers available on the market. It will work with much faster transfers speeds than in the case of using the camera/phone/PDA USB cable. It also allows to back-up files on memory cards or copy files directly between two memory cards.

The MultiCard Reader supports USB 2.0 specification, thus permitting data transfer speeds of up to 480 Mbps. Connected to USB 1.1 port, the reader will operate at 12Mbps only. It’s compatible most Windows operating systems, namely 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7, as well as Mac OS 9.0 and above.

Installation and usage of Integral Card Reader in Windows Vista, XP and Mac OS X is just a matter of plugging it in. It works relatively quickly and becomes available for usage in a matter of seconds in the system.

The LED activity light seems to work with all card access attempts, a visible reference which should prevent you from removing a card in the middle of a copy procedure. The reader got a mini-USB port and comes with the proper USB cable.
