Here is an app that makes a lot of sense. The MoviesNow app for the iphone and ipad is so useful and easy to use it makes me wish I was more of a movie buff. For the small price of 1.99 you can get everything you need to be able to walk right into a movie theatre without worrying about long ticket lines. The MoviesNow app will tell you everything you need to know about an upcoming movie or one that is already in theaters. You can search through a list of top box office, just released, also in theaters movies to make a quick decision about what you want to see right away. My favourite part of the app is the feature that allows you to watch trailers in high quality and compose a wish list of the movies you are most excited to see. Another great feature on this app is the option to buy movie tickets or it will send you to movietickets.com where you can access your account and buy your ticket. But, you can just store your credit card information on the app making buying movie tickets so much easier. To make going to the movies an even more efficient experience, you can add your favourite theaters to your favourites list, even though using your location, the app automatically compiles a list of theaters closest to you (with maps!) to choose from. I would highly recommend this app and I definitely think it is worth the 1.99. The best thing about this app is its organization; there isn’t a lot of extra stuff, ads, etc, that you have to go through to get what you want from this app, its all right there. However, I would say it is an app for someone who knows, or has an idea about what kind of movie they want to watch. It shows you the average viewers rating out of five stars but it does not give you immediate access to written reviews. I would say its not a negative component to the app but something to consider if you are the kind of person who goes by reviews. I was definitely impressed by the app and could definitely see myself using it regularly, just the other day I was held up in line buying a movie ticket for a movie I was already late for, so I definitely understand the appeal of this app and would make a lot of use out of the features it offers. I give this app two thumbs up!
