The size and functionality of the iPad are not the only things that make it newsworthy. While children’s apps went largely dismissed by iPhone users, apps for kids and families are absolutely eating up the top 100 of iPad apps. It truly seems that the iPad is becoming the future of family gaming. One reason for this is the fact that the iPad is not as personal a device as the iPhone. While it can certainly be used for personal reasons, its size makes it an ideal device to share, and one that could easily entertain many kids at once. Additionally, the storage space and sheer amount of apps out there ensures that every unique individual can be satisfied. Furthermore, the nature of the iPad and its family-friendly apps ensure that the games are incredibly low-risk. This means that the days of easily-ingestible parts are gone, and there will be no need to re-paint those parts of the walls where the kids got a little too ambitious with the finger paint. The iPad allows very controlled environments for coloring and playing games, and easily allows the parents to manage the apps their kids are exposed to. Additionally, once a family has an iPad, there is no need to go out and buy expensive games; all of the apps are very economically sound, and the risk of losing or damaging games is significantly lower than with traditional setups. So, if you’re a new parent struggling with how to entertain your family, the iPad is something that is definitely worth looking into. If nothing else, it will ensure a fun time and some peace of mind.
