LG is apparently looking to join the fingerprint reading craze, started by Apple and its iPhone 5S. According to a PocketNow report, the Korean company will bundle these scanners in its 2014 flagships, including the LG G Pro 2 and LG G3. The first of the two will likely be unveiled in about a month during the forthcoming Mobile World Congress. It’s unclear where LG will place these scanners. It could put them at the back of the phone — like HTC does in its One Max — or place them on the front, like Apple does. If I had to guess, LG will opt for the phone’s back where it has already managed to find room for the lock key and volume buttons (on the G2). Adding a small fingerprint reader there shouldn’t be a problem. Or so I think.
