Green Genie is an app that provides just about every green resource you could need. The main element of the app are the green projects it introduces to you that you can incorporate into your everyday life. These projects are sorted by complexity and by what area of life they fall into, and all show how much money they can save as well as what sort of impact they have have on the environment. Furthermore, if you think of a tip or project, you can submit it to the app so that it can then be shared with all the other Green Genie users. The app also provides a glossary of green terms and an enormous list of other resources. It provides links to various carbon footprint calculators (although the calculators are not actually included in the app), and informs you of what various plastic symbols mean so that you know how what impact the materials you use have. The app also gives you a list of green certified products, essential reading for optimal green knowledge, and many links to many green blogs and organizations. If at any point while using the app there is something you wish to know more about, you can rub the genie lamp and it will take you to a relevant website with further information. Green Genie is not an app that should stay bottled up in the App Store. At the miniscule price of $0.99, the app will pay for itself many times over as it guides you to a sustainable, green, and cost-effective lifestyle.
