Steve Jobs said Apple sold nearly half a million iPads in five days, amounting to an average hourly rate of 1.4 iPad units per each of the nearly 900 retail spots that are currently carrying the device. The sales update came during the iPhone OS 4.0 event held Thursday, April 8, at Apple’s Town Hall campus
